Wax Alchemy

Since we've started The Mayan Collective, we have brought the best selection of products to create our candles. As we have worked in the medical field, we wanted to handcraft candles that were not bad for your health. Many candles in regular stores are full with carcinogens, chemicals such as phthalate that help candles scents to be very strong but are not good for your health.  

Our name has become synonymous with quality throughout the entire San Luis Obispo area. We do our best to ensure a permanent variety of fantastic scented candles along with unique limited edition and seasonal items.

100% Natural Soy Wax
Our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax. The soybeans are grown in the midwest of The United States. There are no additives in our candles to enhance the throw. Soy wax burn clean and slow something that our customers love. It is eco-friendly, renewable, American grown, sustainable, carbon-neutral; the list goes on and on.
Small Batches
Our candles are poured in small batches. This help us to have more control over our quality. We measure one candle at a time to have the proper weight in each.
Eco-friendly
We try to be thoughtful of our planet. This is why we use eco-friendly products to make our candles. Our jars can be recycled and reused. Our wicks are 100% cotton and are lead free.

Fragrance Oils

Historically, the fragrance industry has never been transparent about safety. Lack of disclosure from fragrance manufacturers regarding ingredients and the possible health risks of those ingredients was the norm. We work with the best candle supplier in the industry who carries a line of clean scents- free of carcinogens, chemicals, and phthalates.
